Four puzzles that stay the same for good: play them in any order, stop when you like, and come back to finish.
About the puzzles in this set
Hidden Word
Five letters and six tries. The answer comes from the most common third of the English five-letter words.
A round tile tells you where its letter is not, as well as that it is in the word — do not put it back in the same place.
Skyscrapers
A 4 × 4 grid in which the heights 1 to 4 appear once in every row and once in every column. 12 of the 16 edge clues are printed, and no tower is given.
There are 3 clues of 1 on the edge: the tallest tower stands in the cell right next to each of them.
Golf
Seven columns of five cards, 16 cards in the stock and one on the pile. The solver cleared this deal in 51 moves, turning 16 of the stock cards.
A king sits on top of a column. With no wrap from king to ace, only a queen can follow a king — plan where it will come from.
Four in a Row
Dark to move and win within 2 moves, whatever the other side replies. Key ideas: block first, double threat, vertical line.
Two moves means a double threat: your first disc should leave two different cells that each complete four.
