Four puzzles that stay the same for good: play them in any order, stop when you like, and come back to finish.
About the puzzles in this set
Hidden Word
Five letters and six tries. The answer comes from the most common third of the English five-letter words.
A first guess with five different letters tells you the most. E, A and R are the three letters found in the most answers.
Skyscrapers
A 4 × 4 grid in which the heights 1 to 4 appear once in every row and once in every column. 12 of the 16 edge clues are printed, and one tower is already standing.
There is one clue of 1 on the edge: the tallest tower stands in the cell right next to it.
Golf
Seven columns of five cards, 16 cards in the stock and one on the pile. The solver cleared this deal in 50 moves, turning 15 of the stock cards.
A king sits on top of a column. With no wrap from king to ace, only a queen can follow a king — plan where it will come from.
Four in a Row
Light to move and win within 2 moves, whatever the other side replies. Key ideas: block first, double threat, vertical line.
Two moves means a double threat: your first disc should leave two different cells that each complete four.
